QSerials | The platform for administering e-journals

Online presence is nowadays a must for any printed journal. Beyond the regular exposure of online journal content, the QSerials platform allows you to administer the entire process associated with publishing and reviewing journal content. Articles can be submitted online, entering immediately the editorial que, with the final purpose of displaying the published content online. The interface allows administering both free journals or subscription-based content.

In QSerials, each content (journal, journal issue, article, contributor) will have its own web page and id, a prerequisite for professional journal archiving websites. Individual pages contain the appropriate metadata for each content type. Due to the logical internal structure of the journal website, the displayed content is more likely to rank higher when searching content on the Internet.

Both the regular user interface, as well as the administrative pages can be set to multilingual. Whenever available, the reader or editor can choose between different language versions of the same content with a simple click. This can be useful, for example, in case of summary / abstract pages of journal articles which might be expected to be exposed in more than one language. Language detection can also be automated according to certain parameters (browser language, language preference of the logged in user, etc.).
